It is a well known truism that living in the Pacific Northwest means living with lots of rain. There is even a common local term that applies – mossback.
Now, if you’ve read Webster’s Dictionary, those of you with a flair for the political will know the term refers to “an extremely old-fashioned or reactionary person” whereas avid fishers will know it as “a large sluggish fish (as a largemouth bass)”.
But here in the PNW it describes those of us who have embraced the region, the lifestyle, and everything that comes with it.
So here’s the point of this mini post. We snapped this picture in a rainy parking lot (or as our British cousins would say, a car park). It gave rise to the question, “Is this a true mossback’s car or is it the face of a developing green automotive technology?”
